WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council hns beeh informed of his passing by'the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson. Alderman ofthe 11 th Ward; and s
WHEREAS, Stephen Hughes, cherished son ofthe late John J. and the late Gertrude (nee zt Hurley) Hughes; devoted brother of the late John Hughes, the late Gertrude. Hughes, the late, Michael, Mickey, Theresa) Hughes, the late Daniel (the late Jean) Hughes, and the late Geraldine Hughes; survived by numerous, loving, relatives arid friends; and
WHEREAS, Pat was a lifetime resident ofthe South Side of Chicago- Canaryville ' ; neighborhood; Pat was a football coach at St. Gabriel Elementary School for many years; He is a member of the Dc La SalleHigh SchpblSports Hall of Fame '54, Graduate of Northwestern University; Member of Lathers Local 74 and a U.S. Army veteran; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Pat to his family ^
membersfriends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will
