MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR ROLF ZOELLER
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Rolf V. Zoeller on February 18, 2017 at the age of 59; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on November 3, 1957, Rolf was the beloved son of Margaret and the late Adam Zoeller; devoted husband of 30 years to Arlene; loving father of Cynthia, Adam, Ryan and Joseph; fond brother of Edith (Peter) Soraparu, Doris (Michael) Angelo and Andrew (Mary) Zoeller; adored uncle of many nieces and nephews and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rolf leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Rolf touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, and vivacious spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 29th day of March, 2017, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Rolf Zoeller; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution are presented to the family of Mr. Rolf Zoeller as a sign of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
