RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of seventy-three; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti was a retired Roman Catholic priest and psychologist who ministered for more than four decades to the faithful of Chicago area parishes; and
WHEREAS, Raised in Highland Park, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti graduated from Quigley Preparatory Seminary in Chicago and the University of St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein; and
WHEREAS, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti was ordained to the priesthood in 1964 by Albert Cardinal Meyer; and
WHEREAS, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti served in a number of parishes and was a former Pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish and Our Lady of the Angels Parish, which was later consolidated into St. Francis of Assisi - Our Lady of the Angels; and
WHEREAS, After becoming a licensed psychotherapist in 1995, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti joined the staff of Catholic Charities where he counseled single mothers and families; and
WHEREAS, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti had been a resident of St. Matthias in Chicago since 1996; and
WHEREAS, Soft-spoken and kind, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti was also an addiction treatment specialist who helped troubled children; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Known to many as simply "Father Frank," Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his former parishioners and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his two brothers, David and Raymond, and his many nieces and nephews, Monsignor Francis A. Cimarrusti imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
