RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Mary Patricia Flanigan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 94 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Mary Patricia Flanigan (nee Casey), a lifelong resident of the Canaryville neighborhood and parishioner of St. Gabriel, passed away peacefully into eternal life November 30, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Thomas "Ray" Flanigan, loving mother of Eddie, Jack (Vicki), the late Mary Lou (the late Jimmy) Bowen, the late Eileen (Jack) Henry, the late Billy, and the late Carol Ann. Cherished grandmother of Eddie and Patrick (Emily) Flanigan, Kathleen (Tim) Davies, Melissa (Brian) Zofkie, MaryKay (Kevin) Ambrose, Patricia (Mike) Dahl, Carol Ann "Dolly" (Roger) Falk, Jimmy (Ryann) Bowen, Jackie Henry, and Jenny (Dave) Nemanius. Adored great grandmother of Jimmy, Ray, and Jennifer Falk, Emma, Jack, and Cara Davies, Mary Casey Nemanius, Nora Zofkie, Charlee and Casey Rae Bowen, Abby Ambrose, Madison and McKayla Dahl, and Ava and Claire Flanigan; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Mary to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this fifteenth of December 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mary Patricia Flanigan and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Patricia Flanigan.
