RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Kevin James Rafferty to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Kevin James Rafferty, age 57. Beloved husband ofthe late Theresa M. Rafferty (nee Wallace). Loving father of Kevin, Lauren, and the late Collin Rafferty. Proud son of Patricia (nee Quinn) and the late Owen Rafferty. Dear brother of Brian (Debra) Rafferty C.F.D. Ret., Colleen (Vince) Bernardo, and Terrence Rafferty. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and good friend of many. Retired laborer of the Chicago Streets and Sanitation Department; and

WHEREAS, Kevin James Rafferty leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this seventh day of October, 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Kevin James Rafferty and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Kevin James Rafferty.
