MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of John M. "Jack" Campbell, Jr. on October 21, 2013, at the age of 64; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Jack who was born on April 6, 1949, leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love. The beloved husband of Lynn Mehan-Leavek; loving father of Scott (Erin) Campbell; stepfather of Michael (Jamie) Leaveck; dear brother of Rodney (Jeannie) Finn, Patrick (Carol) Finn, and Linda (Keith) Roeske, nee Campbell; cherished Grandpa of Mackenzie Leaveck; dear son of John Sr, and Elizabeth, nee Cronk; and, fond uncle and friend to many; and
WHEREAS, An avid baseball fan who loved watching his New York Yankees, Jack was an active and vital member of his community; and
WHEREAS, Jack will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of November 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of John M. "Jack" Campbell, Jr. and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
