MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Frances A. Catino, nee Taglia, on January 15, 2016, at the age of ninety; and

 

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, born on July 3, 1926, Frances was the beloved wife of the late Anthony V. Catino, Sr.; loving mother of Vincent V., Carmen A. and Anthony V. Catino, Jr.; dear grandmother of Christopher Anthony, Vincent Anthony and Nicholas James Catino; special sister of Angela (the late William) Murphy and William (Geraldine)Taglia; fond sister-in-law of the late Angela (Fred), Theresa (Wally), Trudy (Rocky), Sam (Phyllis) and Carmen (Mary); dearly cherished aunt and great aunt of many; and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Frances leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and

 

WHEREAS, Frances, an active and vital as a member of her community, touched the lives of all who knew her through her energy, her kindness, her generosity, her heart and her spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore,

 

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this tenth day of February, 2016, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Frances A. Catino and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
