RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of the Northwest Side, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. was a widely admired member of the law enforcement community and the loving husband of the late Frances; and
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. was the much-adored father of William, Dr. Patrick Jr., Dean (C.P.D.-Ret) and Anntoinette, the grandfather of 14 and the great-grandfather of 16 to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. was a retired Detective with the Chicago Police Department and a former Chief of Investigations for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office; and
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. served his country as a member of the United States Navy; and
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. was a supporter of New Beginnings Ministries in Wheaton which works to assist the homeless; and
WHEREAS, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. was a longtime and faithful member of St. Francis Borgia Parish where with his wife he raised a close and loving family; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Patrick J. Angelo Sr. serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Patrick J. Angelo Sr. to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Patrick J. Angelo Sr. imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-eighth day of June, 2017, do hereby commemorate Patrick J. Angelo Sr. for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
