RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Vincent R. Daley, Jr., 81, a longtime pillar of the Lincoln Park and Old Town communities in Chicago, passed on Thursday, January 23, 2022 after a five year battle with prostate cancer; and,
WHEREAS, Daley was born in Evanston, IL, on June 21,1940, and was a proud graduate of Loyola Academy, Lincoln College and Loyola University; and,
WHEREAS, In 1973, Vince began his career focusing on investment grade real estate; five years later forming Daley Management, specializing in commercial, multi-family and condominium management, he became Chairman of Wacker Real Estate Services in 1998; and,
WHEREAS, Daley's accomplishments included past member of the National Association of Realtors; Board of Governors, Realtors Land Institute; President, Realtors Land Institute Illinois; Director of Illinois Association of Realtors; Vice Chairman Condominium Advisory; Treasurer, Chicago Board of Realtors; Uniform Law Commissioner for Condominium Law; Trustee ofthe Realtors Political Action Committee; Lincoln College Board of Trustees; and,
WHEREAS, Vince's affiliations included Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Realtors National Marketing Institute; Senior Certified Valuer (SCV), International Institute; Registered International Member (RIM), International Institute; Certified Real Estate Appraiser (CRA), National Association of Real Estate Appraisers; Certified International Financier (CIF), International Society of Financiers; and,
WHEREAS, Daley enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and always spoke of their amazing adventures together, including: Australia, the Far East, South America and an amazing riverboat cruise throughout Europe. Both shared a special love for Palm Desert, California; and,
WHEREAS, Daley is survived by his wife of 54 years former 43rd Ward Alderman, the Honorable Vi Daley, and two daughters and their partners, Kathleen and Eric Craig and Colleen Daley and Andrew Kucharski; and,
