RESOLUTION ON BEHALF OF DEBRA LYNN MARY VALLONE
 
 
 
Whereas, on October 31, 2014, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone retired from the City of Chicago; and
Whereas, the Chicago City Council has been informed of her retirement by Alderman Proco Joe Moreno and Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
Whereas, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone, the youngest of 3 daughters (Sharon & Denise) was born to Jim and Eileen Vallone; and
Whereas, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone graduated from Kennedy High School in 1976; and Debra Lynn began her long civil service career on October 16, 1981 in the City of Chicago Building Department as a Remote Terminal Operator, quickly climbing the ranks to a Permit Review Examiner and a Staff Assistant; and
Whereas, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone became the Department of Buildings Manager of Customer Service, where she enjoyed assisting Chicago's homeowners and contractors alike, while supervising the department's permit reviews; and
Whereas, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone, throughout her distinguished tenure, upheld the highest and noble traditions of public service; and
Whereas, Debra Lynn Mary Vallone leaves a legacy of friendship, a great sense of humor and a quick wit, along with her constant dependability to ensure that the residents of Chicago always received the best care, and to ensure that co-workers always received the best snacks; how, therefore
Be it Resolved, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council, assembled here on this 18lh day of March 2015 AD, do hereby congratulate and thank Debra Lynn Mary Vallone for her dedicated and devoted service to our Great City, and
