RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Steven Andrew Madigan to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Steven Andrew Madigan, aged 38, died suddenly on October 10, 2022. He was born on October 5,1984; and
WHERAS, Steve attended Lockport High School, Class of 2003. He was an all-star member of the LTHS hockey team. A proud graduate of Benedictine University, Class of 2010. He was well known for his love of sports, especially including golf and Thanksgiving morning football games. In his youth, he also caddied at Cog Hill Golf Course. One of his main highlights was meeting Tiger Woods; and
WHERAS, Steve was known for his kindness, big heart and his fierce loyalty to family and friends. His sense of humor was well known, as he would like to call himself "quick with a quip"; and
WHEREAS, Steve is survived by his beloved mother Patricia Madigan, dearest brother, Michael and cherished baby sister Katherine; and
WHERAS, Adored grandson of Rufus Wujcik, Jr. and preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Carol Wujcik and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Betty Madigan; and
WHEREAS, Steve will be lovingly remembered by all of his aunts and uncles; Oarlene Wujcik, JoAnn (Terry) Meadows, Cathy (Randy) Rowe, Barbara (Jim) Starr and Michelle (John) McGuire, the late paternal Aunt Mary (late Jim) Fahey and many cousins and friends; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-sixth day of October 2022, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Steven Andrew Madigan and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
