MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It was with great sadness that members of this chamber learned of the April 7, 2013 death of Catherine C. Fegan; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Catherine C. Fegan was an active and vital member of her community. The beloved wife of the late John J; loving mother of John (the late Barbara), Marilyn Nolan and the late Reverend William; beloved grandmother of Beth (Tim) Scott, Erin (Chris) Hall, Katie (Bill) Davis, John (Pam) and Maggie Fegan; Bridgid, Meghan, Therese and Patrick Nolan; loving great-grandmother of eight; fond sister of the late Walt McCue, Catherine leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and

WHEREAS, Catherine will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this eighth day of May 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Catherine C. Fegan and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the

family of Catherine C. Fegan.
