WHEREAS, Beverly G. Bradley, an outstanding public servant and member of her community, retires as an officer of the Chicago Police Department after twenty-five years of dedicated service to the people of this city; and
WHEREAS, Beverly G. Bradley has received numerous awards for her exceptional service; she served with distinction and dedication in the 022nd and 006th Districts, as well as Unit 142. Officer Bradley was awarded eleven Honorable Mentions, and six Complimentary Letters; and
WHEREAS, The police have the very essential job of ensuring the safety and order of their community. This sworn officer has an important role in protecting lives and property, maintaining order and enforcing all laws accurately; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lona Lane, Alderman of the 18th Ward, has apprised this august body of Beverly G. Bradley's significant milestone; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this twelfth day of December, 2012 A.D., do hereby salute Beverly G. Bradley for her many years of dedicated service to the safety of this city and extend our very best wishes for health, happiness, and success in any future endeavor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Beverly G. Bradley.
