Section 1. Repeal ordinance amended March 10,1964, page 2286 which reads: N. Western Avenue, W. Division Street (1200 N.) to W. Armitage Avenue (2000 N.), No Parking west side 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and east side 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon its passage and publication. ~

RE: Peak Hour Parking Restrictions at 2009 N. Western Avenue
Dear Alderman Waguespack:
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has received your request to evaluate the existing peak hour parking restrictions on Western Avenue in the vicinity of Armilage Avenue. CDOT understands that this request stems from a -local business complaint with regards to the placement and inconsistency of the posted peak hour parking signs along the corridor. Your letter indicated that the peak hour parking signage inconsistencies extend in both directions along the corridor and thus CDOT expanded the study area to include Western Avenue between Division Street and Logan Boulevard.
The existing peak hour parking ordinance information was obtained and compared to the posted peak hour parking signs along the corridor to identify discrepancies. Existing peak hour parking ordinances are in effect on Western Avenue for the following locations and times:
• 1200 to 2000 N. Western Avenue - west side 7-9 AM/east side 4-6 PM
• 1540 to 1620 N. Western Avenue - both sides 7-9 AM/4-6 PM
• 2527 to 2619 N. Western Avenue - east side 4-6 PM
