RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called John "Juan" Barrera to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, John "Juan" L. Barrera, age 88. Beloved husband of Marciana Barrera nee Yanez. Loving father of Teresa Y Barrera, John Jr. (Joanne) Barrera and Maria Isbela Barrera. Fond grandfather and great grandfather of many. Dearly loved by a sister and brothers. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Cousin and friend of many. John "Juan" Barrera leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this tenth day of September, 2014, hereby express our sorrow on the death of John "Juan" Barrera and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of John "Juan" Barrera.
