RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Having arrived in Chicago from Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the Summer of 1969, and falling in love with our beautiful city, Luis Flocco decided to make Chicago his home; and,
WHEREAS, 52 years later, Luis has made outstanding contributions to many of our communities, especially in the Logan Square, Avondale, Lincoln Square and Albany Park, over the course of his professional life in the real estate field, both in sales and development arena; and,
WHEREAS, Under his leadership and skills, Luis Flocco helped a wave of new immigrants in buying their first homes and establishing roots in our city after the Immigration Reform and Amnesty Act of 1986; and,
WHEREAS, During these remarkable years, Luis Flocco has created affordable and beautiful condos and single family homes throughout the city; and,
WHEREAS, All the while, together with his wife of 35 years, Deborah, a native Chicagoan, they created a beautiful family with their three children, Tara Daley, Justin Flocco, and Adriana Owens; and,
WHEREAS, On May 20, 2021, family and friends will gather together to celebrate Luis Flocco's 70th birthday; and now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-six of May 2021 A.D., do hereby extend to Luis Flocco our sincere and grateful appreciation for his outstanding record of professional achievement, and our best wishes to him on his celebration of his seventieth birthday; and,
