RESOLUTION IN TRIBUTE TO REVEREND JAMES R. FLINT, JR. PASTOR OF CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH
WHEREAS. Pastor James R. Flint, Jr., an outstanding spiritual leader and member of his community, is celebrating his 5th Anniversary as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Our great city of Chicago is enriched by the presence and inspiring influence of its great religious leaders and institutions; and
WHEREAS, This honorable body has been informed of the tremendous contributions Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. has made and continues to make to his grateful community by the esteemed Alderman of the 8th Ward, the Honorable Michelle A. Harris; and
WHEREAS, In November 1994 Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. accepted his call to the ministry and preached his first sermon February 5, 1995 at Union Evangelistic Baptist Church in Chicago Heights, Illinois under the leadership of Pastor James R. Flint, Sr.; and
WHEREAS, Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. acknowledges that it is a rewarding opportunity from God for him to serve a vibrant, active community of faith that includes such diversity in age. The combined experience of wisdom with the energy of youth enhances the ever-growing membership at Calvary Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, On July 31, 2004 Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. and the former Thursday Martin were united in marriage. They are blessed with a loving daughter, Savannah Grace; and
WHEREAS, In September 2006, he became the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, located at 8247 South Jeffery, Chicago, Illinois. Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. has inspired his congregation by his outstanding example of spiritual leadership. His mission is carried out by many means, he leaves no stone unturned in his effort to spread the gospel; and
WHEREAS, A spiritual leader with inspired and inspiring credentials, Pastor James R. Flint, Jr. is a dynamic individual whose fervor for the Lord is contagious, whose devotion to God is exceeded only by his good works; and
