RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Arthur J. Schramm Sr has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 84 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Arthur J. Schramm, beloved husband of the late Geraldine Devork Schramm;
devoted father of Arthur J. Schramm, Jr., Michael E. Schramm, James J. Schramm, and the late
Mary Theresa Schramm;.loving grandfather of Samantha Leonard; James J. Schramm, Jr., and
Dillon Patrick Schramm; fond great grandfather of Serena, Charles, and Toots Weaver; preceded
in death by his parents, Edward and Sylvia Benesh; and siblings, Nancy, Dorothy, Billy, and

WHEREAS, Arthur was a lifetime resident ofthe South Side of Chicago- born and raised in Bridgeport, of Cariaryville for 36 years; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Arthur to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore ,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this sixteenth of December 2020, do hereby express pur sorrow on the death of Arthur J. Schramm Sr and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy ; and
