ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF CHICAGO CITY COUNCIL OF:

SECTION 1. Chapter 10-20 of the Municipal Code of the City ofChicago is hereby amended by adding a new Section 10-20-010 as follows:

10-20-010 Notice To Aldermen.

Any individual, company or agency, whether public or private, causing openings, construction and/or repair upon and/or under the public way must provide timely advanced notice to the Alderman of the ward in which this particular work takes place regardless of whether a permit to do so is required. Exceptions will be allowed for bona fide emergencies

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publication.
