RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Joseph M. Maratto to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Joseph M. Maratto, 64, current police officer with Chicago Aviation Police, retired lieutenant 41 years C.P.D. and Army Veteran; beloved husband of Kathy nee Mayfield; loving father of Dan; dear brother of Michael Maratto, Concetta "Cookie" (the late Richard) Giancarlo, Eleanor "Sugar" (the late Ed) Colby and Salvatore "Jockey" Maratto; brother-in-law of Joan (the late Edward) Rolek and Ken Mayfield; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joseph M. Maratto leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this sixteenth day of October, 2013, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Joseph M. Maratto and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
