RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Eleanor E. Ebert has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 90to her eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Eleanor E. Ebert; nee Rodwell; beloved wife of the late Leonard; loving mother of Lenorc (Robert) Bocinsky, Roberta Bakken, Antoinette (Alan) Krygowski, Gay (late Charles) Flibort and Leonard Jr. (Christine Mendiola) Ebert: cherished grandmother of Keith (Alyssa Janes), George Kelleher, Rebecca Flibort, Jeffrey (Michelle) Bakken and Christopher (Cathy) Bakken; adored great-grandmother of Grace, Nolan and Dylan Kelleher, Alex, Chase and Lydia Bakken; preceded in death by her parents and siblings; fond aunt of many and friend to many; and

 

WHEREAS, Eleanor was very active in her community. She was 1996 CCW Woman of the Year, longtime parishioner of All Saints St. Anthony, President of their Young at Heart Club and President of the Sisters of St. Casimir Auxiliary; and

 

WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Eleanor to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this fourteenth of October 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Eleanor E. Ebert and extend, to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Patrick D. Thompson Alderman, 11th Ward

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a. suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eleanor E. Ebert.
