RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Greater Chicago/Upper Midwest Region of the Anti-Defamation League presented Howard A. Tullman with the Jerold S. Solovy Freedom Award on December 4, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this event by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1913 , the Anti-Defamation League is the world's leading organization that fights anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination; and
WHEREAS, Howard A. Tullman was honored with this award that is named after the late Jerold S. Solovy, a distinguished and highly renowned member of Chicago's legal community; and
WHEREAS, Howard A. Tullman serves as the General Managing Partner of G2T3V, LLC, an investment fund, and of Chicago High Tech Investors, LLC, an early stage venture fund; and
WHEREAS, Howard A. Tullman most recently was Chairman and CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy; and
WHEREAS, Howard A. Tullman previously served as the President and CEO of Kendall College and Experiencia, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated civic leader, Howard A. Tullman was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve on the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities where he served throughout the Clinton presidency; and
WHEREAS, Howard A. Tullman is a graduate of Northwestern University and its School of Law; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Howard A. Tullman serve as an example to all; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this eleventh day of December, 2013, do hereby congratulate Howard A. Tullman on receiving this prestigious honor and do herby express our best wishes for his continued success; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Howard A. Tullman.
