MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHbRtAS, it is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of j. Patrick Hanley on November 20, 2013, at the age of fifty-eight; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on March 22, 1955, Patrick was the beloved husband of Lisa, nee Schwartz; dear stepfather of Tyler and Hallie Kobylski; loving son of Barbara and the late Dennis Hanley; dearest brother of Sean (Kathy) and the late Michael; fond son-in-law of Suzanne and the late Honorable Harvey Schwartz; cherished brother-in-law of David Schwartz and Karyn Boraiko; treasured uncle, great-uncle and friend to many; and
WHEREAS, Patrick, former Corporation Counsel at Village of Skokie, was an active and vital member of his community who touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, heart and spirit; and
WHEREAS, Patrick will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this fifteenth day of January 2014, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of the J. Patrick Hanley and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
