Resolution

WHEREAS, Yuvraj Rudra Chennareddy is an Edgewater resident who recently won the 2018 U8 World Cadet Chess Championship in Spain; and

WHEREAS, Yuvraj represented the United States in the eight and younger segment at the championship and was undefeated throughout the tournament; and

WHEREAS, Yuvraj is described by his coach as loving chess "to the moon" and says all of his chess friends love and respect him because he is very kind; and

WHEREAS, Yuvraj is a valued member of the Edgewater community in the 48^th Ward and has captured the community's heart when a recent Facebook post about his victory went viral; and

WHERE AS, Yuvraj is supported by his father Satish, his mother Prathima, and his sister Siri; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this 12^th day of December, 2018, do hereby congratulate and recognize Yuvraj Rudra Chennareddy for his considerable accomplishment in representing not only the United States, but the City of Chicago, on a world stage; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy ofthis resolution be provided to Yuvraj and his family.
