MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Lee G. Holm on October 3, 2013, at the age of seventy-eight; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Lee, born on November 22, 1934, leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love as the loving husband of the late Dorothy; loving father of Thomas (Laura), George (Kristin) and Kimberley (Patrick); proud grandfather of Nathan, Joshua, Thomas, Daniel, Jillian and Jennifer; and
WHEREAS, An active and vital member of his community, Lee was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and his humor and fun-loving spirit will forever be missed by those who knew him. "Fair Winds and Following Seas".
WHEREAS, Lee will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirteenth day of November 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Lee G. Holm and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lee G. Holm.
