CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MELVIN CHOICE ON HIS RETIREMENT AS A CHILD WELFARE ATTENDANT AT NORTHSIDE LEARNING CENTER.
WHEREAS, Melvin Choice, is retiring after thirty-three years, as a Child Welfare Attendant; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this occasion by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Melvin Choice, began his career as a Child Welfare Attendant, in 1978, at the Spaulding School for three months; and
WHEREAS, Melvin Choice, continued to work as a Child Welfare Attendant at the Mason School for twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, Melvin Choice, is retiring after working at the Northside Learning Center as a Child Welfare Attendant, for the past five years; and
WHEREAS, The leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our Child Welfare Attendants; and
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this eighth day of June, 2011, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to Melvin Choice as he retires and we extend to this fine citizen our very best wishes for continuing success and fulfillment; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Melvin Choice.
