MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Daniel P. Quigley on January 21, 2017at the age of sixty; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39lh Ward; and
WHEREAS, Daniel was the devoted son of William & Joan Quigley; beloved husband of Betty Lai Quigley; adored father of Christopher (Lindsay) and Gwen; cherished grandfather to Lily & William; dearest brodier to Mike (Barbara) Quigley; Loving son-in-law of Kwok and Wing Lai; fond brother-in-law of Nancy (Frank) Gallagher, Alice (Mike) Link, Thomas Lai, and Susan (Peter) Chan; adored uncle of Stephanie & Nick Benson, Alyson Quigley and Meghan Kluth; Sarah Gallagher, Matthew & Jonathan Link, Pierson & Spencer Chan. Dan leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, and dignity; and
WHEREAS, Dan touched the lives of all who knew him through his unconditional love, life lessons and vivacious spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this Twenty-ninth day of March, 2017, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the
family of Daniel P. Quigley; and
