RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 50; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Naperville, Jerome P. Rowan was a widely admired member of the business community and the devoted husband of Rochelle; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan was the beloved father of Kelvin and Geoffrey to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan was the loving son of Dolores and the late Harold; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan was the cherished brother of Harold, Michael, Brian, Daryl, Kevin, Kenny, Phylis, Felecia, Jeanette, Rene, Yvette, Joy and Shonyel; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Rowan International, LLC; and
WHEREAS, Jerome P. Rowan touched the lives of many with his integrity, wisdom and devotion; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Jerome P. Rowan to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Jerome P. Rowan imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-fourth day of July 2013, do hereby commemorate Jerome P. Rowan for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerome P. Rowan.
