WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that Chicago City Council mourns the passing of Konrad Tucharski; and
WHEREAS, Konrad Tucharski was a dedicated public servant and the loving husband of Edyta; and
WHEREAS, Konrad Tucharski was the much-adored father of Vanessa, Patryk and Nicole to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Konrad Tucharski served as a bricklayer for the City of Chicago's Water Department; and
WHEREAS, Konrad Tucharski was fatally injured on February 13th after a trench collapsed around him while he was replacing a sewer line on the Far Northwest Side of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Konrad Tucharski, a dedicated and hard-working family man, is remembered by his colleagues as a good-hearted friend and mentor who was always there to lend a hand and assist younger apprentices learning their trade at job sites; and
WHEREAS, The City of Chicago Water Department has lost a trusted and valued employee and deeply mourns his passing and the tragic circumstances surrounding his death; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council assembled this twenty-second day of February 2017, do hereby express our sorrow and extend deepest condolences to his wife and children; and
