RESOLUTION
 
 
 
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Charles J. Shilney to his eternal reward; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Charles J. Shilney; beloved husband of Mary (nee Schramm) for 55 years; loving dad of David (Patricia), Michael (Lenore), and Karen (Will) Trezek; proud grandpa of Wendy, Lindsay, Michael Jr., Matthew, Christopher, Alexis, Thomas, Jessika, John, Nicholas, and Joseph; proud great-grandpa of Addison; dear brother of the late Harold, the late Jean, and Agnes "Sis". He was a caring godfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many and he will be greatly missed. Charles was an active member ofthe Clearing Civic League, the Clearing Night Force, the St. Symphorosa Super Club, and the Resurrection Choir. He was also a 008 Court Advocate, a Eucharistic Minister, a Minister of Care, and a retired member ofthe Boilermaker Local 1. Charles J. Shilney leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this fifth day of November, 2014, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Charles J. Shilney and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
