RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Eileen C. Boland has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A woman of dignity, grace and charm, Eileen C. Boland, nee Sullivan, was the loving wife ofthe late Michael P.; and
WHEREAS, Eileen C. Boland was the much-adored mother of the Reverend Jeremiah, Monsignor Michael, Timothy, Richard and Joseph and the grandmother of six; and
WHEREAS, Eileen C. Boland was the dear sister of the late Marian, Rosella, Lillian, Rita and Agnes; and
WHEREAS, Eileen C. Boland was the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, A devout Catholic, Eileen C. Boland was a member of the St. Gall Parish Guild ,and will be remembered for her gentleness and kindness; and
WHEREAS, The beloved matriarch of her family, Eileen C. Boland helped to turn picnics attended by her wide-ranging clan of relatives into an annual tradition; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Eileen C. Boland serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, Eileen C. Boland will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To her beloved family, Eileen C. Boland imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-first day of January, 2015, do hereby commemorate Eileen C. Boland for her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eileen C. Boland.
