RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 93; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. was the loving husband of the late Rose Godfrey; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. was the much-adored father of Martin, James, Michael, the late John, Timothy, the late Daniel, Mary Rose and Sally, the grandfather of nineteen and the great-grandfather of twenty-three; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. was the dear brother of the late Martin and the late Joseph; and
WHEREAS, A member of "Our Greatest Generation," James W. Daly Sr. served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. hailed from Visitation Parish and enjoyed a long and highly successful career as a plumber for the City of Chicago's Water Department for 32 years; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. was a proud member of Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130, United Association; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, James W. Daly Sr. upheld the finest and most noble traditions of public service; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of James W. Daly Sr. serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared James W. Daly Sr. to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, James W. Daly Sr. was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, James W. Daly Sr. imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
