Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, FILE #58, upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to maintain and use, as now constructed, one (1) Pedestrian Bridge projecting over the public right-of-way adjacent to its premises known as 931 E. 57th St Existing pedestrian bridge is one (1) story and span over and across the sixty-six (66) feet public right-of-way at a street clearance of not less than seventeen (17) feet three (3) inches above street grade. Existing pedestrian bridge is approximately eighty-five (85) feet three (3) inches in length and twelve (12) feet six (6) inches in width and six (6) feet nine (9) inches in height. Pedestrian bridge connect with the existing research institute building north of 57* Street to the Physics Teaching Center on the south side of 57th Street known as 931 East 57th Street.
The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office of the City Clerk.
Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Planning and Development and Department of Transportation (Division of Project Development).
This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #1109791 herein granted the sum of four hundred ($400.00) per annum in advance.
A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date.
