SALUTE TO JOHN WILMOUTH
WHEREAS, John Wilmouth, an outstanding public servant and member of his community is retiring on June 30, 2011 after almost three decades as an investigator for the City of Chicago Independent Police Review Authority; and
WHEREAS, John Wilmouth started service on May 1, 1982 with the Chicago Police Department's Office of Professional Standards which was superseded by the Independent Police Review Authority. He was their Intake Section's Acting Supervisor from 1985 to 1989 and again in 1995; and
WHEREAS, During his career, Investigator Wilmouth received two Honorable Mentions in 1990 and 1994 as well as two letters of commendation from grateful City of Chicago residents; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Brendan Reilly, Alderman ofthe 42nd Ward, has apprised this august body of John Wilmouth's significant milestone; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City of Chicago City Council, gathered together this 18th Day of May, 2011 AD, do hereby salute John Wilmouth upon the occasion of his retirement from the city's Independent Police Review Authority and express our very best wishes for his success in any future endeavor he may wish to undertake.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to John Wilmouth.
