RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Alvin Bailey Jr has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 82 to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman ofthe 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Alvin Bailey, Jr. dearly beloved husband of the late Rita R. Corcoran Bailey; devoted father of Kathleen (Tony) Vazquez and Thomas (Rose) Bailey C.P.D., loving grandfather of Alexandria (Nicholas) Mamula, Tony (Melissa) Vazquez, Rachel (Nate Alvarado) Vazquez, Kassandra (Michael) Malloy, and Katelyn (Vincent) Martinez; great papa of Nicholas, Dahlia, Elliot, Adeline, and future Vazquez twins; dear son of the late Alvin and Manarkey Mathes Bailey, Sr.; fond brother ofthe late Eugene and Patsy Avery; great brother in law, dear uncle, great uncle and cousin of many, as well as many family and friends in North Carolina; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Alvin to his family members, friends arid all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty second of July 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Alvin Bailey Jr and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
