RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Grupo Firme is a regional Mexican music group, formed in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico in 2014, made up of seven members, Edwin Cazares (Eduin Caz), leader and vocalist; Joaquin Ruiz, electric bass; Johnny Caz, vocalist; Abraham Hernandez, vocalist; Christian Tellez, electric bass; Dylan Camacho, accordion; and Fito Rubio, drums; and
WHEREAS, Grupo Firme and manager Isael Gutierrez, from indie regional Mexican label, "Music VIP Entertainment Inc.", began their musical repertoire recording covers of songs by emblematic Mexican artists such as Los Tigres Del Norte, Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Jose Alfredo Jimenez; and
WHEREAS, The group was promoted at local bars in Tijuana until they achieved success with their debut album "Pasado, Presente, Futuro" in 2017; and
WHEREAS, Musical collaborations with other regional Mexican acts such as "Juro Por Dios" and "El Dinero Ni Nada" recorded with Banda Coloso have influenced the group's success and popularity; and
WHEREAS, In 2019, Grupo Firme recorded a music video for their rendition of "El Amor No Fue Pa' Mi" by Caliber 50, a band from Sinaloa, Mexico, and it was an instant hit on YouTube. To date, it has raked in nearly 200 million views; and
WHEREAS, Grupo Firme has been able to take advantage of social networks to expand its music across North America; and
WHEREAS, The group has produced and created content during the coronavirus pandemic, taking a risk to remain current while motivating their fanbase; and
WHEREAS, On September 15, 2020, in celebration of Mexican Independence Day, Grupo Firme hosted and performed a virtual concert and exceeded sixteen million viewers; and
WHEREAS, In 2021, Grupo Firme decided to go on tour across North America despite the fact that the coronavirus pandemic continued to impact all forms of life; and
