RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Peter W Johnson to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Peter W. Johnson was 102 years of age; the beloved husband for 74 years of Grace, nee Mizger; loving father of Gloria (Henry) Balmas and Noreen (the late Joseph) Traxler; devoted grandfather of Marilyn (Jack) Ferguson, David (Judith) Porterfield, Michelle (Doreen Parrish) Cullom, Andrea (Anthony) Anders and Peter Traxler; great-grandfather of Matthew, Rebecca, Tasha, Jacob, Abby, Abbey, Maddy and Joey; dear brother of the late Anne, Jewel, Bernice, and Antoinette; brother-in-law of William and Jean, and fond uncle of many; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this sixth day of July 2011, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Peter W Johnson and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Peter W Johnson.
