RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Geraldine M Gilles has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 88 lo her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine M. Gilles, nee Dwyer, beloved wife of the late Paul Gilles;, loving mom of Sharon (the late Randy) Burnett, Doreen, and the late Donna; cherished Auntie of Mikie & Nikko Kotrba; dear sister of Marlene (the late Charles) Krummick; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Longtime friend for 82 years of Margie Kappel; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Geraldine to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty second of July 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Geraldine M Gilles and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the
family of Geraldine M Gilles. . \
