WHEREAS, Richard G. Rusinak, an outstanding public servant and member of his community, retires as an officer of the Chicago Police Department after seventeen years of dedicated service to the people of this city; and
WHEREAS, Richard G. Rusinak was appointed to the department as a sworn member on July 10, 1995. Officer Richard G. Rusinak was promoted to Field Training Officer on December 28, 2001. He has received numerous awards for his exceptional service; he served with distinction and dedication in the 005th, 022nd and 006th Districts. Field Training Officer Rusinak was awarded nineteen Honorable Mentions and three Complimentary Letters; and
WHEREAS, The police have the very essential job of ensuring the safety and order of their community. This sworn officer has an important role in protecting lives and property, maintaining order and enforcing all laws accurately; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lona Lane, Alderman of the 18th Ward, has apprised this august body of Richard G. Rusinak's significant milestone; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this twelfth day of December, 2012 A.D., do hereby salute Richard G. Rusinak for his many years of dedicated service to the safety of this city and extend our very best wishes for health, happiness, and success in any future endeavor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Richard G. Rusinak.
