WHEREAS, The Pilsen community has lost a great leader and Chicago Fire Department veteran of 30 years.

He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many and ail who knew him.
WHEREAS Roberto was a-dedicated, loyed and a 'respected 36:year Chicago Fireman ofjFfuck.' 32, '^bmictos"f4exica'n6s'' stationed in^Bittle Village. He retired in'2016 and never sfppped;advocating for firefighters as well as the Pilsen and Little Village community.
WHEREAS Born and raised in Pilsen, "Bobhy'^l^
Pius Catholic Church. He attended Jungman Elenientary and graduated from Benito Juarez High School.
WHEREAS Building on his legacy of service and community, "Bobby" mentored and coached soccer for 18 years under Jalisco F.C in one of the most popular Latino leagues in Chicago; CLASA. His passion for soccer was matched with the passion to touch the lives of many, especially the kids and youth that he coached.
WHEREAS From making custom helmet shields for his fellow firefighters, and jamming out to House Music, Bobby had many talents. He had a wide array of interests that included working on cars/machinery, listening to music (especially Javier Solis to remember his father), and working with upholstery to pass the time.
WHEREAS "Bobby" was a devoted family man, a veteran firefighter who risked his own life to save others throughout Chicago. He was and will continue to be an example of true public service, because of his love, care, and generosity for others. While he will be deeply missed, his inspiring legacy will live on in those who knew him; now and forever.
