Title: Tribute to late Jacqueline Gail Green

WHEREAS, On Friday, February 13, 2015, the Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom called Jacqueline Gail Green to her eternal journey; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Lona Lane, Alderman of the 18th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Jacqueline was born on May 1, 1953; she was the second of five children born to the union of Ella B. and Walter Green; and
 
WHEREAS, Jackie attended Willard Elementary School, Vincennes Upper Grade Center and later graduated from DuSable High School; and
 
WHEREAS, she had a passion for many things. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She loved attending New Beginnings Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games as well as watching TV. She loved her dogs Lee Lee and Apple. She truly loved her family, her legacy will continue throughout her family. Her memories will forever live within the hearts of family and friends; and
 
WHEREAS, Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ella B. and Walter Green; two brothers, Gene and Walter Green; and leaves behind, to cherish her precious memories, a devoted son, Gene Green; and a lovely daughter, Katrice Green; two grandsons, Brandon and Kenneth; two grand-daughters, Kiera and Belinda; one great grandson, Kenneth Crawford; Jr.; two sisters, Denise and Belinda, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; now, therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this eighteenth day of March 2015 A.D., do hereby express our sorrow on the passing of Jacqueline Green and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Jacqueline Green.
