ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
WHEREAS, Based on information on the Chicago Board of Elections website, the residents of the 26th precinct of the 17th ward on November 8, 2016 voted to lift the ban on the sale of alcohol in their precinct. The vote was 223 in favor of keeping the alcohol ban and 241 in favor of lifting the alcohol ban; and
WHEREAS, This ordinance is intended to lift a liquor moratorium in a portion of that previously "dry" precinct; and
SECTION 1. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck through, as follows:
4-60-023 Restrictions on additional licenses.
Subject to the provisions of subsection 4-60-021 (c), no additional package goods license shall be issued for any premises located within the following areas:

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
