MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR ROSE MARIE GIANCOLA
WHEREAS, it is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the death of Rose Marie Giancola on February 16, 2019 at the age of eighty-eight; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Chicago City Council have been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Rose was bom on October 13, 1930, to loving parents, the"late Caroline and Anthony Giancola; and
WHEREAS, Rose lead a full and accomplished life and bequeaths to her family and friends a legacy of faith, dignity, and love; and
WHEREAS, Rose leaves to deeply cherish her memories: her adored sister, Mary Lou Giancola; devoted brother, Ronald (Joannie) Giancola; loving nephews, Mark (Gayle) Giancola, Anthony (Valarie) Zagone, and Paul (Yesinia) Giancola; fond cousin, Beverly (Ronald) Falbe; and, many extended family members and friends; and
WHEREAS, in addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her loving sister and brother-in-law, the late Flemme Mae and Anthony Zagone; and
WHEREAS, Rose touched the lives of all who knew her through her unconditional love and vivacious spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this tenth day of April, 2019, do hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Rose Marie Giancola; and
