ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1.        Because an in-person meeting is not practical or prudent due to COVID-19, the next regular meeting of the City Council, in accordance with applicable law, shall be conducted by videoconference on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, beginning at 10:00 A.M., and shall provide for remote participation and remote viewing by members of the public. If prior to then, the Commissioner of Health issues a written determination that the City Council can safely proceed with an in-person meeting, the meeting will be held at a location to be determined that can safely accommodate a City Council meeting. Any such written determination will be posted on the City Clerk's website, along with an amended meeting agenda, which will include a fixed location, by 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 22, 2021.

SECTION 2.        This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its

passage.
