City Council January 27th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Marcella Chavez has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Marcella Chavez; the loving mother of Daniel Chavez and Edward (Lorena) Romero, and devoted grandmother of Daniel Chavez Jr., Merrick Chavez, Joslyn Dusing, Edward Romero Jr., Jacob Romero, Isabel Romero, and Olivia Romero. She is the dear daughter of Tony Chavez and the late Alice; loving sister of Grace Amundsen, Nadine Lopez, Carolyn (Robert) Lange, Adolph Chavez, the late Aaron Gold, and late Joseph Chavezjfond aunt of many devoted nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Marcella to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty seventh of January 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Marcella Chavez and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marcella Chavez.
