MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Gertrude Pomorski to her eternal reward;
and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Gertrude Pomorski, the beloved wife ofthe late Walter B., was an active and vital member of her community. The loving mother of the late Dorothy Szewczyk; devoted grandmother of Jason and Greg (Meghan) Szewczyk; cherished great-grandmother of Emma and Thomas Szewczyk, Gertrude Pomorski leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Gertrude Pomorski will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Gertrude Pomorski and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gertrude Pomorski.
