RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 77; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks was a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice and the loving husband for 51 years of Kristin; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks was the much-adored father of Michael, Molly, Kevin, Kathleen, Peggy and Eileen and the grandfather of twenty-one to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks graduated from St. Norbert College and the University of Notre Dame Law School; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks worked in private practice before he was named by Governor Martin J. Schreiber to the Brown County Court in 1977 and designated as a Circuit Court Judge in 1978; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 1996; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his, nearly forty years on the bench, the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks was known for his dedication to justice and fairness; and
WHEREAS, The hard work and sacrifice of the Honorable Patrick Crooks serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable N. Patrick Crooks was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
