MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, On Sunday, June 19, 2011, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called to his eternal reward Angel David Martinez; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Ariel E. Reboyras, Alderman of the 30th Ward; and,
WHEREAS, Angel David Martinez was bom on May 10, 1921 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico to Manuel Martinez and Buenaventura Almodovar; and,
WHEREAS, Angel David Martinez is survived by his daughter, Carmen H. Rivera of Orlando; son, Angel D. Martinez, Jr. of Orlando; son, Tony Martinez of Miami; daughter, Iris Martinez of Chicago; brother, Hector Martinez of Chicago; brother, Enrique Martinez of Sabana Grande; sister, Isabel Martinez of Carolina, six grand children and one greatgrandchild.
WHEREAS, To his family and friends, Angel will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, dedication, and his passion will live on in those he touched, and who knew and loved him; and now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this sixth day of July, 2011 A.D., hereby express our sorrow on his passing and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Angel David Martinez.
