CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO ELDER JEFFREY D. HODGES ON THE OCCASION OF HIS SIXTIETH BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the City Council of the City of Chicago is hereby informed of the momentous observance of Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges's Sixtieth Birthday; and
WHEREAS, Many friends and followers are gathering to honor Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges, Pastor of the King of Glory Tabernacle Church of God In Christ as he celebrates his 60th Birthday;and
WHEREAS, One of Chicago's most beloved and respected citizen, Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan but was raised in Muskegon, Michigan. He graduated Oakridge High School, attended Devry Institute and Moody Bible Institute for his secondary education; and
WHEREAS, In 1974, Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges became a member of King of Glory Tabernacle Church of God In Christ and in 1980 he accepted his call to the ministry. In 1997 Elder Hodges was elected Pastor of the church. Elder Hodges is the superintendent of the Bishop Shepard Little Memorial District of the First Jurisdiction of Illinois of the Church of God in Christ as well as the Administrative Assistant and Commissioner of Finance for the Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Ocie Booker; and
WHEREAS, Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges, has selflessly provided spiritual guidance and enrichment to the lives of his faithful members of his congregation at King of Glory Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, 2314 East 83rd Street. Under his pastoral leadership, Elder Hodges has instituted numerous outreach programs that are beneficial to the members ofthe King of Glory; and
WHEREAS, In a focused, dedicated life in the ministry, Elder Jeffrey D. Hodges has reached out to untold hundreds, sharing his strength of spirit and promoting faith in a better life. ¦.:" His teachings and his example have brought inspiration to many; and
