RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, William J. Dixon has been called home to eternal life by the wisdom of God for her eternal reward on October 26, 2022 at the age of 85; and,

 

WHEREAS, The Members of the Chicago City Council have been informed of her passing by the Honorable Raymond A. Lopez, Alderman ofthe 15th Ward; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Dixon is survived by his loving wife Barbara, their children Sarah, Ann, Matthew, Peter and Sheila, their spouses, and fourteen wonderful grandchildren; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Dixon joins in eternal rest his parents Sherwood and Helen, as well as his siblings Mary and Patrick; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Dixon served his country with honor and distinction, enlisting in the United States Armey shortly after graduating from the University of Notre Dame; and,

 

WHEREAS, His ability to live life to the fullest endeared Mr. Dixon to his family, friends and indeed all who made his acquaintance, enriching their lives in ways they will never forget; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO, That we, the Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this Fourteenth day of December, 20222, do hereby express our sorrow on the heavenly transition of William J. Dixon and extend to her family, friends and the greater community our deepest sympathy; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO,

That suitable copies of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of William J. Dixon as a taken of honor and respect for a life well lived.
